Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was one of the most wonderful stays my husband and I have ever had. From the moment we checked in with Claire, we were treated with the utmost respect. Claire gave us some awesome suggestions to grab coffee and breakfast. The pool/spa is incredible and the location is fantastic. We can’t wait to come back. We’re sad we only stayed for one night.

Had an amazing stay at the Four Seasons Chicago. Kristen does a great job at creating a wonderful experience for guests with her team. Stacy at Adorn was such a warm server. She remembered the kids names, things they liked and their food preferences. Victoria was also warm and friendly with our kids. The front door men were so helpful and friendly. Kids club wasn’t huge, but the kids enjoyed playing the arcade games and open ended toys like magna tiles. The pool was perfect for our family to relax and end the day. Also, the location was perfect for shopping and easy to get to the Museum of Science and Industry and the Shedd Aquarium (two musts for families).

I had a planned surgery nextdoor at the surgical center and booked the Four Seasons after my original hotel, The Talbot had very uncomfortable beds. I knew this would hinder my recovery after surgery so we booked the Four Seasons because we just knew they would deliver and they went above and beyond. When we checked in, our concierge Laith I believe was his name upgraded us to the suite after we shared I would be getting surgery. Our room, our bed, the view and housekeeping service was SPECTACULAR! It was such a blessing to have this space to recover for the next 3 days. We also got spa treatments the day prior to my surgery and our masseuse, Tessa was AMAZING! After my procedure was done, we never had to step outside the building. We were able to take a pathway inside the mall to the hotel elevators and up to my room with no issues. We are incredibly grateful for The Four Seasons and we will definitely come back to this special place that played a pivotal role throughout our procedure to have our earthly children soon. Thank you Four Seasons staff!
